Our Story

Felicia Wright, CEO and Designer, has built an impressive career as a graphic designer with over 25 years of experience. Growing up as a young Black girl who was insecure about how she saw herself, as well as how others saw her, Felicia knew she wanted to create a product that made women of color feel empowered and seen. In 2015, she founded Mygani®, a lifestyle accessory brand committed to addressing the need for positive representation in the handbag category by offering products that celebrate and reflect our customers’ culture through exclusive illustrations. Through her designs, Felicia's goal is to uplift and empower other women and young girls who look like her, reminding them that they are always enough.

In 2013, Felicia established Mompreneur Marketplace™, a signature platform aimed at supporting mompreneurs in balancing family and business life. In 2020, this platform partnered with Jacksonville’s River City Live to feature uplifting stories of Black women and mom-owned businesses.

Felicia also hosts Curls and Convo™, an annual event that celebrates self-confidence for women and young girls, emphasizing the importance of believing in themselves, regardless of their skin complexation or hair texture. In recognition of her impact, the city of Jacksonville declared February 12th as "Curls and Convo Day" in 2022. She is an advocate for the CROWN Act, which supports efforts to eliminate race-based hair discrimination, promoting a respectful and open world for natural hair.

Mygani® has been featured in Essence, Forbes, Rivercity Live, Voyage ATL, Voyage MIA, Buzz Tv and First Coast Living.
